Hinesville
If you are looking for the shortest commute possible to Fort Stewart, you’ll want to look for a home in Hinesville. Because of its proximity to Fort Stewart, many of your neighbors will be military families, and you’ll enjoy a lower cost of living than in some of the other locations on our list.

Another one of Georgia’s rapidly growing towns, you’ll skip the small-town feel in Pooler and, instead, you’ll get the ultimate convenience of all its big-box stores and endless dining options. You’ll also find many new homes and apartments at a variety of price points in Pooler.

While there seem to be endless things to do in Pooler, some of our favorites are shopping at the Tanger Outlets, visiting The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, and mini-golfing or go-carting at Fun Zone Amusement and Sports Park.

Although notably nearly an hour from Fort Stewart, some families cannot resist the charm and history of the city of Savannah. Within Savannah, there are a variety of neighborhoods to choose from, all with different ambiances and attractions.
